Frequently Asked Questions

We understand that before you buy a product from Make a Blind, you might have a few questions. We’ve answered the most common queries that we receive below, but if there’s anything else you would like to know, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Should I give exact blind dimensions?

This product is custom made for you, so you should be as precise as possible with your measurements – How to measure. Make sure you check and double-check your dimensions before you place your order.

What do I do if my window isn't square or rectangular?

You should measure for a blind to fit outside a recess, so it covers the window – This is included in our How to Measure guide. Your blind will then cover the window when it is pulled down over the window. You can also make a template in newspaper or paper in the size you measure to put up over your window, so you can see how the blind will look in your room before ordering.

How long will my blind take to arrive?

As the blinds are made to order to your bespoke specifications, it can take between two – three weeks from placing your order to receiving your blind. We will inform you when your order is ready for dispatch and is being sent to you by courier.

How do I install my blind?

You can install the blinds yourself and we have made easy installation instructions.

Alternatively you can employ a professional handyman to fit them for you. We are building a new network on our site – Find a Fitter so please do let us know who you use or check if we have someone in your area yet. If you can recommend a tradesperson please contact us using the details on our Contact page and for each approved new listing we will give you a £20 voucher**.

I've changed my mind what can I do?

Unfortunately, due to this being a bespoke product for you, unless the product is reported faulty or damaged, we are unable to offer a refund.

My order is damaged upon delivery, who do I contact?

How can I find where my order is?

How will my order arrive?

Your order will be sent by courier to the delivery address you supply. You will be notified when your order has been dispatched.
